Growth Hormone

Scientists have discovered the substance in our bodies that promotes growth in cells and bones and aids our goal on how to grow taller. This substance is called growth hormones - there are two types: Human growth hormone and Insulin growth factor-1).

Getting plenty of sleep will boost these levels, as your body produces large amount during this time. Using heavy weights (strength training) will also be very beneficial to these levels.

For your diet you should eat plenty of protein (building blocks of growth hormones) and as little sugar as possible (inhibits growth hormone). You may also want to take 100g of niacin (a vitamin) on an empty stomach before you go to bed as it increases growth hormone up to five times helping you to grow inches taller.

Diet

A  diet that includes plenty of proteins and vitamins will aid the natural process for enhancing height, but diet isn't as important as most people believe. If growing taller was strongly related to diet then why don't people that consume plenty or proteins and vitamins grow taller? Why can people grow taller, but eat little amounts?
Although genetics is the main factor for determining height, hormones are the second most important factor.
Despite this, diet can hinder your height massively, as eating lots of sugary foods can reduce the amount of height hormones your body can produces, this is probably the only change needed in an average persons diet. Eat less sugar and more proteins.

Growing taller is a complex procces, but the general 'formula' for growing taller is (Genetics + Hormones + Nutrition) - Stress. Unfortunately the majority of your height is based on genetics, but there are environmental factors that you can change to increase your height.
